| Moutain Adventure Tour Day-by-Day Itinerary: |
Day One: IN FLIGHT
Day Two: Arrival at Franz Josef Strauss Munich Airport this morning. Board your private, air-conditioned Mini-Bus with your Driver and Tour Guide, Tony Cisneros. Transfer to downtown Munich for a city tour and free time. Hotel check-in and dinner.
Day Three: After breakfast, we transfer to Andechs Monastery this morning for free time at the famous beer garden. Lunch at the monastery. Afternoon transfer to downtown Munich with free time for optional sightseeing; such as the impressive Deutches Museum or Alpine Museum. Special Bavarian Dinner tonight at the world famous Hofbräuhaus Beer-Hall.
Day Four: Transfer this morning to the alpine resort of Berchtesgaden, with a stop at Lake Chiemsee. Afternoon visit to the Enzian Schnapps Distillery for a tour and tasting. Hotel check-in and dinner. Brief evening orientation.
Day Five-Nine: Depending on daily weather conditions, we will be spending these five days doing the following activities:
Rafting or Canyoning down an alpine river. One or the other. If the water levels are high enough, we will spend one day rafting the white water rapids of the nearby Saalach River. If the water levels are not high enough, we will spend a day canyoning. This is a “wet hike”; dressed in a warm and comfortable wetsuit and helmet, we make our way down a river gorge with a Licensed Guide, including shooting down natural river slides.
Paragliding Tandem from the Jenner Mountain near Lake Königssee in Berchtesgaden. We may need to do this our first day, perhaps the last day. It all depends on the weather. This is nearly full day event, including a safety orientation, our Gondola ride up the Jenner, set-up time and launching, flight time and landings near a Gasthaus, where we will have a special dinner. (In the event of bad weather during our entire five days in Berchtesgaden; we will resort to Hot-Air Ballooning instead of Paragliding).
 Ridge Hike to Germany’s Largest Ice Caves in the Untersberg Mountain. Full day with overnight in mountain hut. We start off with an exciting ride up the Untersberg Cable-car to the top of the mountain, and continue with a moderately flat hike across the ridge (ca. 2 1/2 hrs.), and down to the Schellenberg Ice Caves. Then a short distance to our mountain hut for dinner, schnapps and sunset. Next day hike down to Marktschellenberg Village and transfer to hotel.
Other Sightseeing and Adventure in the Berchtesgaden Area: The tour will also include a visit to the underground world of the Salt Mines, with a guided tour of the mines, and a tour up Germany’s highest alpine mountain road to the infamous Eagles Nest, Adolf Hitler’s former mountaintop diplomatic retreat. We’ve included an excursion to the Berchtesgaden National Park including a boat ride across the enchanting Lake Königssee.
Day Ten: Transfer this morning to Munich Airport for return flights to the USA.
